For the benefit of the students, parents, and teachers, and for the well-being of the studio environment, we have written the following policy for our studio:
1) CLASS ETIQUETTE:
2) SCHEDULING LESSONS:
Google Wallet payments will be accepted on a monthly or quarterly basis, but check payments will only be accepted quarterly to minimize administration tasks.
1) CLASS ETIQUETTE:
- Please respect the studio environment by parking in the designated areas, taking off shoes, and entering and exiting through the basement door. Food and drinks are prohibited in studio.
- Please stay in the piano studio room only. The rest of the basement (including games and books) is reserved for after-school use only. Parents and younger siblings are not allowed in other rooms. Siblings not taking lessons are strongly discouraged from joining during lessons to minimize distractions.
Accompanying parents and siblings who take lessons must remain quietly in the studio room.
If anyone causes other students too much distraction, the teacher will require the individual to wait outdoors.

- Please promptly and silently come and leave lessons to respect other student's lessons.
- If the student arrives early, s/he is allowed to silently wait in the basement sitting area and will begin the lesson at the designated time.
If the student is late, the teacher will not extend the time allotted to respect the later students’ and teacher’s time. The student must pay for the full lesson, including the time that was missed. The teacher has reserved that time specifically for the student, and thus cannot schedule any other student or activity in the lost time. The teacher is not required to contact a student to remind them of their lesson.
If the student leaves late or arrives early more than 15 minutes, the student (and parents) will need remain quietly in the basement waiting area and the teacher will charge $5, and $10 for every additional half-hour for a childcare service fee. Any fees incurred are due the last day of the month that the offense was committed.

- There will be a permanent time set for each student's lessons for each semester. All students, parents, and teachers will strive to respect the time.
- The student has a total of 6 missed or cancelled lessons per year, namely “grace” lessons, that will be refunded.
- If the student cannot attend a lesson for any reason (sickness, emergency), but notifies the teacher at least 24 hours in advance, AND reschedules the lesson, that rescheduled lesson will not count as a grace lesson.
- If the student does not reschedule the lesson, OR does not notify the teacher 24 hours in advance, the missed lesson will be counted as a grace lesson.
- The student must pay for every missed or cancelled lesson after the 6th grace lesson.
- Inclement weather and holiday breaks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.) are not included in the 6 lessons.
